4. SPIRIT AND FIRE - A RETREAT FOR PENTECOST 2009
in the Church of St David and St Patrick Haverfordwest, 29-31 May

Sr Patti Jo Crockett is a member of the Missionaries of God’s Love, at present living in Melbourne, and has been a spiritual director and retreat leader for many years.  Fr John Patrick Thomas, parish priest of Haverfordwest, has invited her to give a retreat over the Pentecost weekend. This retreat engages the intimate and transforming relationship between the Holy Spirit, the Breath of Life, and the person of Jesus in His humanity. We will explore:

   * Jesus’ own Baptism in the Spirit in the Jordan
   * The Spirit’s accompaniment of Jesus in His human journey
   * Jesus’ mission as a mediation of the Spirit in prayer and ministry
   * The Spirit in the Passion of Jesus        The Spirit of the Risen Jesus
   * Pentecostal love – Fire for a new evangelisation

As we come to understand more deeply this unique relationship between the Spirit and Jesus, we will marvel at what God has in store for us in the ordinariness of our human journey.  We are invited into Jesus’ own communion in the Spirit, for the sake of the Kingdom.
