Day of Repentance
On Saturday April 28th the NSC hosted a Day of Repentance for present and past members of the Wales National Service Team at St Michael’s in Brecon. Led by Fr Laurence Brassill OSA and Pauline Edwards it sought to focus on any aspects of involvement with the NST which had caused hurt in the past and to repent of anything that individuals felt they had contributed to that hurt. Although not everyone was able to attend, there was a good representation of members from the earliest years to the new and from all the dioceses of Wales. The day started with Mass in St Michael’s, concelebrated by Fr. Ross Patterson, p.p. of St Michael’s, together with Fr. Laurence. Rev. Gareth Leyshon, deacon, assisted. Prayers during the day were offered for deceased members of the NST and for those unable to attend.
Our thanks are due to Fr Ross for enabling us to use St. Michael’s; to Sr Finian for continued assistance and encouragement; to Fr Laurence and Pauline for encouragement, strength and guidance and to Pat Williams for organising the day.
Praise and thanks to God

Words etc. from Nicholaston
A very powerful weekend, well-attended despite initial fears. There were many words received:
* Do not be afraid * The Holy Spirit will come to each one as he/she can receive - as wings of fire or as wings of a dove * Draw deeply from the wells of salvation * Repentance is gift, everything is gift * Whatever God is doing, do not be threatened. * Step out. Expect the Unexpected. * Do whatever He tells you. * Is 61 "The Spirit of the Lord has been given to me ............" particularly related to the Jews (at the time we were speaking about them in the Conference) * Surrender all to Jesus - let go of bondages * 1 Chron 29:5 Who is willing to consecrate himself/herself today to the Lord? * Rest in the Spirit * Praise, sing and dance * Heb 1:7-9 Talks about the oil of gladness * In contemplation don't be concerned about seeing the face of Jesus, be more aware of Jesus looking at you * A picture of a red heart with coals and burning ash on top * A picture of a massive torrent of heavy water sweeping away dark things at the edge (? figures) * A picture of furrowed, rich brown fertile soil, ready for sowing seeds. Also, we are reaping the benefits of other peoples' seeds * A picture of the back of Jesus as The Good Shepherd holding His crook, wearing a red and white robe. He is walking forward, and behind Him are a lot of footsteps on the soil, for us to follow * Feed My sheep * We need Intercessors * I was able to forgive myself * God Bless Wales ! - someone told us she wanted to say that but couldn't
Bob Adams emailed to thank those he met at Nicholaston for praying for his eye problem. He went to see the Consultant yesterday and the news was better than he thought. Praise God !
